The cookies this website uses, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, and how to change your choice.

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. This page explains what this website and LocalQuiver use, and why.

This website

When you first visit, we ask whether you're happy for us to use analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing except the strictly necessary storage below is set until you choose. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Strictly necessary

lq-introSession storage, not a cookie. Remembers that you've seen the opening animation, so it doesn't replay on every pageUntil you close the tab

lq_utmThis websiteLocal storage, not a cookie. Remembers which ad or campaign link brought you here, so if you come back and get in touch we know which campaign worked30 days

Advertising (only if you accept)

NameSet byWhat it doesHow long
_fbpMeta PixelIdentifies your browser to measure our ads and show them to past visitors90 days
_fbcMeta PixelRecords that you arrived by clicking one of our Facebook or Instagram ads90 days

If you accept advertising cookies and send a form, our server also tells Meta about it directly, with your email address and phone number hashed first. Our privacy policy explains this.

We use Google's consent mode. Google Analytics only loads after you accept analytics, and it's told your choices straight away: whether analytics is allowed, and whether advertising storage, sending advertising data to Google and ad personalisation are allowed. Until you accept advertising, all three advertising settings are off.

Our films are hosted by us, not by YouTube, and our fonts are served from our own website, so watching a film or loading a page doesn't send your data to anyone else.

The LocalQuiver app

When you sign in to the LocalQuiver app, it uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect your account. You can't switch these off and still use the app.

Pages we host for our clients

Review pages, loyalty card pages and websites we host for our clients measure visits without cookies. They store nothing on your device and don't keep your IP address.

If this changes

If we add any other cookies, we'll update this page and ask for your consent again where it's needed.

Managing cookies

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the app working. To opt out of Google Analytics on every website, Google offers a browser add-on.

Email us and we'll explain anything on this page. You can change your cookie choice at any time from the footer.
