Shop

If you sell through Shopify, your products can sit on your website too, in the same design as every other page. Visitors browse, fill a basket and pay through Shopify’s secure checkout, while your Shopify store keeps running stock, orders, delivery and payments just as it does now.

What changes

01

One website, not two

Your Shop page and a page for each product sit inside your own site’s design, so browsing feels like the rest of your website. The basket follows visitors from page to page until they’re ready to pay.

02

Secure checkout, run by Shopify

When they’re ready, Shopify’s secure checkout opens in a new tab and takes the payment. The money goes to your Shopify account, never through us, and price and stock are checked again at checkout.

03

Nothing new to manage

Keep adding products, changing prices and handling orders in Shopify, as you do today. Your website picks up the changes every few minutes, so a new seasonal range appears without anyone editing a page.

The film

With your own Shopify store, your products show on your LocalQuiver website in its own design, the basket follows visitors round the site, and Shopify’s secure checkout opens in a new tab, set up by pasting your .myshopify.com address.

How it works

  1. 01Bring your Shopify storeYou need your own Shopify store, and Shopify’s Basic plan is enough. Products, stock, delivery, tax and payments all stay set up there, where they already work.
  2. 02We connect itWe paste your .myshopify.com address into your site’s Shop tab. There are no keys to swap and no developer to brief.
  3. 03Choose what to showShow your whole range, up to 250 products, or a single collection such as gift boxes or a Christmas range. Each product gets its own page in your design.
  4. 04Open it to GoogleThe shop has its own “Show on Google” switch, off by default, so it stays out of search results until your products and photos look right.

Questions

Yes. The shop runs on your own Shopify store, and Shopify’s Basic plan is enough. Shopify looks after your products, stock, orders, delivery, tax and payments. We don’t provide Shopify or handle payments ourselves: your website shows your products in its own design and hands the basket to Shopify’s checkout.

Straight to your Shopify account. When a customer is ready to pay, Shopify’s secure checkout opens in a new tab and takes the payment, so the money never passes through LocalQuiver. Your orders arrive in Shopify as normal, and you deal with them there, just like any other Shopify sale.

Checkout runs on Shopify’s own secure pages, in a new tab. If you set up a Shopify subdomain, such as shop.yourbusiness.co.uk, checkout can use that address instead. Everything before checkout, from the Shop page to the basket, sits on your own website.

Up to 250 products, or one collection if you’d rather keep it focused, such as gift boxes, vouchers or a seasonal range. The list refreshes from Shopify every few minutes, and price and stock are checked again at checkout, so nobody pays for something that’s just sold out.

It works on our Hospitality New template, the one we use for new websites in every trade, not just hospitality. If your site uses an older design, ask us about switching. The shop connects to Shopify only, not to other shop platforms.
