Online shop for florists

If you already sell through a Shopify store, your website can carry the same bouquets in its own design. Visitors browse a shop page and a page per product, add to a basket that follows them round the site, and pay through Shopify’s secure checkout. The money never passes through LocalQuiver.

How it works for florists

01

Your Shopify store does the work

Products, stock, orders, delivery options, tax and payment all stay in your own Shopify store, and Shopify’s Basic plan is enough. LocalQuiver doesn’t supply Shopify or take payments; it shows your store beautifully on your website.

02

In your site’s own design

Your bouquets, wreaths and gift sets appear in the same colours and fonts as the rest of your website, with up to 250 products or a single collection on show. Prices and stock are re-checked at checkout, so nothing sold out slips through.

03

Set up without a developer

Paste your .myshopify.com address and the shop appears, with no keys to copy and nobody to hire. Product changes you make in Shopify come through every few minutes, so a new seasonal bouquet shows up without a second job.

04

Off Google until you’re ready

The shop has its own “Show on Google” switch, off by default, so you can add your Valentine’s range and check every product page properly before search engines are pointed at it.

Mother’s Day at Thistlewick Flowers

Mother’s Day bouquets, ordered while the shop was busy

Imogen at Thistlewick Flowers already had a small Shopify store, but few customers knew it existed. With the shop switched on, her Mother’s Day bouquets sat on her own website in the same soft greens as everything else. A customer reading her reviews tapped Shop, added a bouquet and a card, and paid in Shopify’s checkout in a new tab. Imogen saw the order in Shopify, just as she always had, between wrapping tulips at the counter.

An illustration of how it works, not a real customer.

The film

With your own Shopify store, your products show on your LocalQuiver website in its own design, the basket follows visitors round the site, and Shopify’s secure checkout opens in a new tab, set up by pasting your .myshopify.com address. It works the same way for florists.

Questions

Yes. The shop runs on your own Shopify store, and the Basic plan is enough. If you don’t have one yet, you set it up with Shopify first; we then connect it to your website by pasting its address. Shopify looks after stock, orders and payment.

Checkout opens in a new tab on Shopify’s secure checkout, so payment is handled by Shopify, not by your website or LocalQuiver. If you’ve set up your own Shopify subdomain, checkout can show that address instead of a Shopify one.

Delivery options live in your Shopify store, so whatever you offer there is what customers see at checkout. LocalQuiver shows your products and keeps the basket; it doesn’t deliver flowers, book delivery slots or change how your own drivers work.
