Online bookings for garages

Plenty of drivers would rather book an MOT at eleven at night than ring during the day. Online bookings let them choose a service and a free slot from your website or booking link, with your bays set up so no two cars ever land in the same space.

How it works for garages

01

Bays as resources

Set each bay or ramp up as a resource and give each service the time it takes. A slot is only offered while a bay is free, so the diary never shows more cars than you can fit.

02

Reminders before the MOT

Every customer gets a confirmation and a reminder before they’re due, by email and by text when they gave a mobile number, with a link to move or cancel up to your cutoff.

03

A review after the job

Mark the visit done in the diary and, with automatic review requests on, your usual review ask follows on the timing you already set. Anyone who opted out is never asked.

04

Book from Google and your site

Book buttons on a website we built open your booking page, and you can share the link on your Google profile, social pages and in emails, so drivers can book wherever they find you.

Asked politely. Followed up for you.

  1. Review request Text or email, after the visit
  2. Friendly reminder A couple of days later
  3. Taps through to review Follow-ups stop by themselves

A Sunday evening at Kingsdyke Autos

Five MOTs booked while the garage was closed

Kingsdyke Autos closes at half five, but on a Sunday evening five drivers booked MOTs from the link on the garage’s Google profile. Each saw only the times when one of the two MOT bays was free, chose a slot and got a confirmation by email and text. On Monday morning, Jordan opened the diary to find the week filling up, and each driver got a reminder the day before their MOT.

An illustration of how it works, not a real customer.

The film

How the AI Receptionist, LocalQuiver's fifth AI agent, answers the calls you miss and your website chat in your business's name, how missed callers get a text back from your business number, and how customers book themselves into one diary. It works the same way for garages.

0:02When you're on a job, the phone still rings. And every call you miss could be a customer who rings someone else.

0:09So meet the AI Receptionist, the fifth AI agent in LocalQuiver.

0:14Your phone rings first. When you can't pick up, it answers in your business's name, and says it's an AI assistant.

0:21It answers questions from your website and documents, then books the visit into your diary, or takes a proper message.

0:27And you get a short summary of every call it handled.

0:31The same receptionist chats on your website, answering questions and booking appointments in writing, day or night.

0:38With missed-call text back, every caller you miss gets a text from your business number, straight away, in your words.

0:45Their replies land in one place, and you answer from the app when you're free.

0:49And with online bookings, customers book themselves into times that are genuinely free, from your website or your booking link.

0:56Confirmations and reminders go out for you, and every booking lands in one diary, so nothing can clash.

1:03Every call answered. Every booking taken. Even when you're on a job.

1:09LocalQuiver. Your marketing, sorted.

Questions

Not at the moment. Online bookings don’t take payments or deposits, so customers pay at the garage as they do now. They do get a confirmation and a reminder before they’re due, with a link to move or cancel.

Yes. Choose to accept each one and online bookings arrive as requests that hold the slot until you accept or decline. Or let them confirm straight away. Either way, the customer hears back from your garage.

Yes. Add a booking from the diary in the app, at any time you choose, even outside your hours. It still can’t land on top of another booking for the same bay, and the customer gets the usual confirmation if you want them to.
